Self-portrait, NYC, 2013.

I'm a writer and content strategist based in Los Angeles.

I moved here in the winter of 2018 after 25 years in brilliant New York City. LA: It's everything you think it is and so much more than I could have hoped for.

For eight years, until December 2017, I was the creative director/director of marketing for Stockland Martel, a premier talent-representation agency whose roster included some the best-known commercial photographers in the advertising, entertainment, and editorial industries.

As Stockland Martel's one-person content and marketing team, I wrote the agency's blog; designed, curated, and wrote bimonthly newsletters; designed and wrote eblasts promoting the roster of 28 photographers; managed social media; wrote internal communications for the principals; and provided copy and project management for the photo books the agency produced each year.

Prior to Stockland Martel, I worked in publishing, variously as an editor, writer, and managing editor for Entertainment Weekly, the New York Post, Guitar Aficionado, Inked, Paste,,, Adweek, and Mediaweek.

I also write essays, make photos and collages, and do photo-based projects, published at Chronic Chronicler and La La Diary.
