playlist & cover art for Gigantic magazine

Each issue of Gigantic magazine features a playlist curated by an invited artist, who also creates accompanying cover art. For the magazine’s Portrait Issue, published online in October 2024, I curated this playlist and made a collage to go with it.

The foundation of the collage is a lively portrait of Cab Calloway (from the public domain), and I added to and subtracted from it with images from my personal archive: a street photo I shot in Berlin, a basketball hoop I photographed in Laguna Beach, and so on.
